                                                                         March 2019

What will you be doing on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:58 p.m.? Attending the local Vernal Equinox party? I know you can’t wait to open the window in your home and shout, “Happy Vernal Equinox!!!”

I don’t know if we think much about the vernal equinox as we go through March but it’s nice to know that this is the day where we turn the corner and the lion of winter turns to the lamb of spring. It’s where the light of day starts to outlast the dark of night. We start to plan our gardens and plant the seeds. We can almost feel the sunshine and start to think of how we will spend more time in the sun.

As we move out of winter and into spring, it’s my prayer that in our lives, The Lord would move us out of the cold seasons we may have been going through and into the warmth of the wellspring of life that the Lord has prepared for us.

In this time may we listen to The Lord’s plans of how to plant the seeds of His love and salvation that would become the “Vernal Equinox” in other’s lives; where  His light would overtake the darkness of night.  May we ask Jesus to plan the gardens of our lives in a way where they would produce fruit according to His will.  And of course, as we experience His Spirit moving among and working within us, let’s plan on how we will spend more time in the “Son”.

Happy Vernal Equinox in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 43:18-19: “‘Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.'”
